The next one I wanted to tell you about is a site which sells posters, custom framing, photo books. Its a good one to put onto any movie blog/site or celebrity blog/site but you could link it up to any site really as it has posters for anything and everything. They have a great link builder that adapts banners to suit your site/niche.

2 tier affiliate programs - you can read the benefits on my last post. But I am going to begin posting 2 tier affiliate programs that I have come accross and I believe provide great conversions etc on a regular basis. So here we go, number 1 is:

2 tier affiliate program - What are the benefits? When people sign up for the 2 tier affiliate program that you have reccommended to them using your link, then you get commissions on anything that they or their customers purchase. With a 2 tier affiliate program you would look at contacting your followers or sending out an email to your ezine list. You can contact people through forums or via the 'contact me' on websites in the same field as your 2 tier affiliate program.

Tell your followers about the program, what great commissions it has in it for them, conversions, banners etc. When telling them about the commissions related to the 2 tier affiliate program remember they will be intitled to the 1st commission. So if its 25% on the 1st tier, this will be their commission and the 2nd tier is usually something like 5% (this will be your commission).

Niche Marketing software is excellent but you need to decide what type of niche you are going to look at. Two tier niche markets are great to set running and forget about them. Some companys out there gives commission when you sign someone up and then again when they sign someone up. Thats right you get commission for the ones they sign up. There are a limited number of affiliate programs that pay out on lifetime usage. One I have just discovered recently is games niche market (feel free to take a look). Its a games website where your clients get free downloads and then if they choose to buy the game (which they often do) you get commission.

How important is it to Find Best Keywords ? Finding the right keywords is vital when putting your work out there. If you are adament that you want to go after a niche that has a fair amount of competition, this can be made possible if you find best keywords. Now with most keyword searches out there the information provided will let you know how popular they are. However, with the Micro Niche Finder it will actually show you which keywords have little or no competition. Making it easier to target your desired niche.

Niche Marketing Software helps with finding and validating your niche, but thats not it. When you have your blog, squidoo etc done, nuture it, its your baby. Post and ping daily. Free traffic is the best traffic.

Finding your niche

To start your home based business, the first thing you need to do is find your niche . If you want to enjoy what you do then pick a niche you have an interest in. Now I know you are thinking I dont have any interests. Of course you do, it could be anything from dvds to walking - think, yes you do, you do have interests.

First, write a list of all your interests or things you are good at - these are your maybe niches. This could be anything from parenting to tuning in the TV. If its parenting, what bits do you love? What bits do you not enjoy as much as others? What parts of parenting do you like to talk about? You need to ask yourself many questions before finding what niche you would like to work with. Take time over your list. Ask for the help of your friends and family, they my be able to contribute as to what your qualities are. Once you have your list, surf the net to find out whats happening in the world of your proposed niches. Visit chat rooms, look at websites, find out what people are searching for. Validate your niche by finding keywords with little competition.

You could choose to ignore all of the above and actually use Niche Marketing Software to find niches with little competition first, then find an affiliate link after. This is just doing exactly the same but the other way around.

With all the Niche Marketing Software out there it is hard to know which one to choose. I use (on a daily basis) the Micro Niche Finder. It is linked to google. When you have done it - found your niche. Next, its research. Write some articles, blogs, squidoo lenses on your niche, all of course with a link to either your website or affiliate link. Twitter is an excellent tool when marketing, but it needs using correctly. If you are familiar with Twitter you will know that you need to get a large number of followers. I spent a long time on this only to discover that none of my followers were remotely interested in my niche - waste of time!
